ICE? (Immigration Customs and Enforcement?)
Hello again. No, I'm not writing about Immigration Customs and Enforcement, although that might be good for 'My Two Cents Worth'.
No what I'm talking about is ICE as 'In Case of Emergency'. In my android Samsung 4 phone there is a place for 'IN CASE OF EMERGENCY'.
Put whomever you wish in there along with their email and phone number. My area has the ability to put more than one ICE contact.
Why ICE? If you are injured or others injured and you cannot respond, first responders will look for the 'ICE' information. If you have your phone locked make sure you have a back up with ICE contacts.
Nothing scares a parent of a young adult or a young adult finding out their parent has been in an accident and not knowing of the accident.
Since we now have the means to carry information with us, create a spread sheet with all your medications and allergies and medical conditions you or they have on a flash drive. This will give the first responders and the emergency room people a heads up on your medications and allergies and any other medical condition you are being treated for.
Make sure on that flash drive is your Medical Directive that is in pdf form and has been notorized and witnessed.
This will tell the ER what your wishes are.
